New Thurso Dental Practice Helping To Cut Waiting Lists

Sample News Big

The opening of a new dental clinic in Thurso has dramatically reduced waiting times in the area; the clinic opened at the beginning of the year and already, 4,000 people have been treated.

The clinic is located at Dunbar Hospital; it cost around £1.2 million to build, but it has already made significant strides in cutting waiting times and principal dentist, Dr John Barry is hopeful that the waiting list will have completely vanished by this time next year.

Since the clinic opened earlier this year, four thousand patients have already been seen by the dental team, which consists of four dentists, a dental therapist and 12 dental nurses.

NHS Highland said that the opening of the clinic has made a massive difference to local people and health bosses are hopeful that there will soon be no waiting list in Caithness and Sutherland.

Dr John Barry said that everything was going very well at the clinic and he expects that registering with a dentist will be no problem in the near future.
