A brand new, state-of-the-art orthodontic centre is set to open in the centre of Grimsby.

Mydentist, one of the UK’s largest dental providers, confirmed that a new orthodontic practice is coming to Palace Court. The four-surgery facility will specialise in orthodontics for children and adults, treating both NHS and private patients.

The new specialist mydentist clinic will open in premises formerly occupied by Bathstore. The retail unit will undergo renovation work to create a modern four-surgery practice in the heart of the town. The revamp will cost six figures.

A spokesperson for mydentist said that everyone at the company is delighted to confirm the opening of a brand new orthodontic centre in Palace Court, which is due to open in May 2022. The centre will provide specialist orthodontic care for a wide range of patients, offering a broad spectrum of treatment options. The clinic will create ten new jobs.

The premises in Palace Court were previously used as a bathroom shop and have been vacant since Bathstore collapsed in 2019.

Lawrence Brown, partner at Scotts Property, which acts on behalf of the landlord of the premises, welcomed mydentist’s proposals and said that the project is an excellent example of “how premises can be repurposed from their original design.”
