New Oral Health Campaign Launched in Oman

A new campaign to promote good oral health has been launched in Oman.

Dr Ali bin Ja’afar bin Mohammed, Adviser of the Ministry for Health Affairs, launched the campaign, which will run from the 25^th March until the 31^st March at an event at the Health Sciences Institute in Al Wattiyah on Saturday 24^th March.

The theme of the campaign, which will also be celebrated in Yemen, is ‘Balance your diet and enjoy good oral health’.

The event at the Health Sciences Institute was organised by the Health Ministry. During the day, Dr Salah El Deein al Bulushi, Director of the Oral and Dental Health Department, gave a speech and encouraged everyone to get involved in supporting the campaign to encourage people to live healthier lifestyles and take better care of their teeth and gums.

The aim of the campaign is to educate people about the impact their diet has on their oral health and the importance of good oral health for good general health. The theme was approved by the Gulf Committee on Oral and Dental Health at a meeting last January in Qatar.
