The location of a former women’s refuge centre in Worcester is to be developed into a new NHS dentist. The new practice, Gentle Dental Worcester, will be able to register around ten thousand patients and is set to open by the first of November.

The Gentle Dental practice, replacing the Asha Women’s Centre, is the sister practice of Gentle Dental Evesham and will have four dentists based at the three-floor site. One of the practice partners to remain at the new site, Dr. Mohamed Wadee, was excited about the opening of the renovated and modern building. ‘It’s a very modern practice,’ Wadee said, ‘a state-of-the-art practice with a large capacity.’ The centre has apparently already had people expressing an interest in registering before it even opens. ‘We want to build a good relationship with our patients so they see the same dentist all the time,’ Wadee continued, ‘we want continuity of care.’

The Gentle Dental practice is set to offer a complete range of services for children and adult alike, including root canal treatment, crowns and fillings. Moreover, the practice will offer aesthetic dentistry work and minor dental surgery. A spokesperson for NHS Worcestershire was quoted as stating; ‘We are delighted that another NHS dental practice will soon be opening in Worcester as part of an ongoing campaign to make NHS dentistry even more widely available across the country.’
