A new multi-million pound health centre has opened its doors to patients in Berrow, Somerset.

The Berrow Health Campus, which cost £2.5 million, welcomed patients for the first time on Monday. The new centre boasts a range of services, including a brand new GP surgery, NHS dental services and a pharmacy.

The GP surgery has room for nine doctors and nursing staff and the centre also offers day services for patients with dementia.

The development has been funded by NHS Somerset in conjunction with Burnham Medical Centre. Debbie Halls, management partner at the Burnham Medical Centre, said that everyone was delighted with the new health centre; she said that the new facilities were first-class and claims that the development will make a huge difference to the local community.

An official opening ceremony will be held in the near future.
