New Mobile Dental Unit Launched in Nottingham

A new mobile dental unit has been launched in St Ann’s, Nottingham.

The pilot scheme will run until June. The unit will be stationed at the Elohim Development Academy and the Wells Road Community Centre from 10am until 6pm on Mondays and from 8am until 4pm on Tuesdays.

The unit provides a range of dental services, as well as information and advice about oral hygiene and oral health issues. The service has been funded by NHS Nottingham City.

Claire Matthews, from NHS Nottingham City, said that the pilot scheme will be rolled out into other areas of the city if it is successful and representatives from the trust will be inviting patients participating in the scheme to give their feedback. The service will be reviewed after three months and the trust will make a decision regarding the future of the scheme will be made before the trial period has come to an end.
