New health and dental centre opens in Barrhead
A new multimillion pound health centre has opened in Barrhead.
The 18 million pound centre, which boasts three GP practices, two dental practices, adult mental health services, physiotherapy and podiatry services, a sexual health clinic, an elderly health day centre and a clinical zone, has now opened its doors to the public.
The centre was commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board in conjunction with Renfrewshire Council.
The health centre was designed by Avanti Arhcitects and features a large atrium, which floods the building with natural light. The building has been specially designed so that it can be used for different services; the layout allows bosses to adapt and accommodate changes in services.
