New dental practice set to open in former bank in Henley

A new dental practice is set to open in a former bank in Henley.

The premises, which are located in Reading Road, were formerly used by Lloyds Bank. The chief executive of RSVP Holdings, Romey Chopra, submitted a planning application to convert the building into a dental clinic and three flats in October 2022.

Planning officers are required to make a decision on this particular type of application within 56 days. In this case, a rejection was issued three weeks after the deadline. The decision was challenged by Laura Ashton, of LAUK Planning, which acted on behalf of RSVP Holdings.

South Oxfordshire County Council has now confirmed that the company will be able to modify the building in line with prior approval processes. Representatives also issued an apology for the delay in confirming the decision. They said that a technical issue was to blame for the late publication.
The application is a change of use proposal for parts of the ground and first floor of the building.
