New dental practice opens in Kent shopping centre

Kent residents can now shop and get a check-up at the same time following the opening of a new dental practice at the Dockside Outlet Centre in Chatham.

Smil, a new dental centre, which offers family dentistry as well as the latest cosmetic and restorative services, has opened in the popular shopping centre. The new clinic is located on the first floor next to The Range.

The owner of the practice, Neil Underhill, has 27 years of experience in working in dentistry in Kent and recently relocated his business from Medway. Neil explained that he wanted to explore the possibility of moving to a shopping centre because the unit was free, it has ample parking and the landlord wanted to diversify the range of businesses and services available at the facility.

Since the practice opened, there has been an influx of new patients and Neil said that the team has been “humbled” by the number of patients visiting the clinic. Many are shoppers and local residents who have seen the practice advertised on social media and people who have got in touch after reading reviews online. The clinic has over 24 5-star Google reviews and many people have also recommended it on local Facebook pages.

Smil offers a wide range of services, including general dentistry for the whole family, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and the latest facial aesthetic treatments. There are also two smile advisers who use state-of-the-art technology to help patients visualise their current smile and discuss suitable treatment options. The practice provides simulations to help patients to understand the potential benefits of dental treatment and envision what they could look like.

Neil said that the primary aim is to provide patients with the highest quality dental care at affordable prices using the latest technology to optimise results.
