New Dental Group launches in the North East

Dentist Direct, a dental group, which aims to encourage dentists to open their own practices, has been launched in the North East.

The group is aiming to help more than one hundred dentists set up their own practice. The group uses a unique model, which allows dentists to open a practice in return for a minimum cash outlay. Dentist Direct is aiming to allow dentists to open new practices in prime locations in the area.

The company has been created by Dr Ken Harris, an award winning dentist, who arranges non-clinical support for dentists from commercial experts so that dentists can spend their time treating and caring for patients. The company has agreed a financial deal with Natwest bank, which will support the opening of 100 new practices over the next five years. Dentist Direct will also create 70 new jobs at the County Durham headquarters.

Dr Harris said that he understood the stress involved in opening and managing a new dental practice but the Dentist Direct scheme is an incredible opportunity to open a practice and benefit from the help and support of experts.

Dentists operating in the scheme will also have access to all the latest technology and treatments, including the Waterlase system, which combines laser treatment with water to produce painless dental treatment.
