New Beam Brush Will Track Brushing Habits
A brand new dental gadget is to be launched next month. The Beam Brush will connect to smartphones to track brushing habits and alert the user as to how long they have been brushing for.
The first edition of the Beam Brush is to be on sale in March, with a recommended retail price of £32. The first version will use a sensor to track how long you have been brushing your teeth, but future models will come with additional features, including information about which areas of the mouth you have been brushing and reminding users which areas need more attention.
The brush will connect to smartphones and users can download apps to create a visual display informing users about their brushing time and providing a timer to encourage them to brush for the recommended two minutes each time.
The app will also enable users to store data about their brushing habits, which will enable them to forward the information to their dentists in the future.
