New app could help patients to understand dental problems

Sample News Big

A new app has been created to help patients find out about symptoms and learn about good oral health.

The new app, which is available for all iPod touch, iPad and iPhone users, has been launched after the Dental Optimizer website became increasingly popular. The website contains information about oral hygiene, improving oral health and details of oral health conditions and an increasing number of people have been visiting the site as an alternative to visiting their dentist or dental hygienist. In an age of rising dental costs and turbulent economic times, self-help is becoming increasingly popular.

Dental Optimizer has now partnered with Apple to launch the new app, which will enable people to learn about aspects of oral health, including different treatments, oral hygiene and ways to prevent oral health problems.

The app is not supposed to be a replacement for dentists; it is supposed to encourage patients to take an interest in oral health and make an effort to look after their teeth and gums.
