Naval Dental Workers Bake Cake for Charity

Sample News Big

Members of staff from HM Naval Base Clyde’s Dental Centre swapped their instruments for kitchen utensils to create an array of cakes and baked goods to raise money for charity.

The cake sale was held on Monday October 3rd and the team were raising money for two very worthy causes, the Meningitis Association Scotland and the Vale of Leven Hospital Cancer Unit. The event was a huge success and raised a total of £1,290.

Karlyn Marshall, a receptionist at the Dental Centre, said that she was aware of the amazing work done by both charities and wanted to do something to support them. The cake sale was the first fundraising event, but the team hopes to continue to fundraise for the two charities.

The dental team has set up a Just Giving website to enable people to donate online and find out more about the charities.
