Mydentist reveals plans to merge three Middlesbrough dental practices

Mydentist, one of the UK’s largest dental chains, has revealed plans to merge three dental practices in Middlesbrough.

If the proposals get the green light, the clinics on Cargo Fleet Lane, Marton Road and Martonside Way will merge to form one practice at Cleveland Retail Park.

Mydentist is currently inviting residents to share their thoughts on the proposed move. The relocation would mean that some patients would be travelling around 3 miles from their current practice.

The firm said that it would not be possible to improve access to existing facilities because the chain has “outgrown” the buildings. The move to a larger, more modern site would improve access for patients, as well as enabling the company to offer extended opening hours and more flexible appointment times.

The new clinic would also provide access to a wider range of services for patients, including NHS and private dental care. The new clinic would be located on the ground floor, with easy access for patients who use mobility aids and wheelchairs and those with limited mobility.

Free parking is available at the retail park and there are frequent bus services. The practice will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and patients will benefit from an improved waiting room and better facilities.

If the relocation goes ahead, staff from the three practices will move to the new site.
