Mydentist dental practice in Ammanford to close this summer
The mydentist dental practice in Ammanford is set to close this summer.
In a statement issued on Friday 27th May, mydentist confirmed that the surgery, which is located in Margaret Street, will close permanently on July 31st. Patients who are currently undergoing treatment will have courses completed by the closure date and emergency treatment will also be available until the practice shuts.
Mydentist is currently working with the local health board to identify alternative arrangements for patients. Jill Paterson, director of primary care at Hywel Dda University Health Board, said that the team is working hard to find a “long-term solution to ensure ongoing NHS services in the town.” Ms Paterson thanked patients for their support for the practice and encouraged anyone who has queries about appointments or courses of treatment to get in touch directly with the reception staff.
Once the practice closes, patients have been urged to contact NHS111 if they need urgent help. Patients who are affiliated with the Margaret Street surgery are advised not to contact other practices in the area at the moment. Instead, they can contact the health board to join a holding list, which will be passed to a new provider once the service is up and running.
