Mobile Dental Clinic Provides Care to Ontario

A Dental Clinic based in Niagara, Canada is set to provide a number of free dental treatments for children up to the age of 17.

Niagara’s Mobile Dental Clinic is set to provide dental sealants, thorough cleanings and other preventative treatments, over the summer. The aim of the clinic is to treat those who have no access to dental care. If the children are eligible their parents won’t have to pay for any of the costs.

The RV is currently travelling through the region and is visiting a number of schools and local communities. The team on board are trying to promote dental health by educating the Niagarans about maintaining good standards of oral health.

The mobile dental clinic is part of the Healthy Smiles Ontario program, which is intended for those with zero dental coverage. 36 health units are currently involved in the program and are working with a number of health care providers including: dentists, hygienists and hospitals.
