The man who won silver in Luge at the Vancouver Wunter Olympics on 14 February has chipped his tooth on his medal.

Germany’s David Möller, who won silver in the men’s singles, reportedly damaged one of his incisors when photographers asked him to pose by biting into the trophy.

Twenty-eight-year-old Möller, who came second to compatriot Felix Loch, reportedly said that he was looking for a dentist urgently.

Reports suggest that he admitted that the injury hadn’t hurt but said that he now felt annoyingly self-conscious while posing for the press.

Möller was just 0.679 seconds slower that Loch in the competition, which was emotionally charged following the death Nodar Kumaritashvili, 21, from Georgia, who hit an uncovered steel pole at speed while on a training run.
