Lowestoft NHS dentist part of new plans
A Lowestoft dental practice has told worried patients not to fear as it will be staying at it’s current location.
Despite an announcement by NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney that Oasis Dental Care Ltd would be the new dental provider for the town, the High Street Dental Surgery has assured local people that it will not be relocating.
Dr Johnson, operator at High Street Dental Surgery, said that Oasis’s directors had assured him that they wanted to serve the same patients with the same dentists and that he was determined to continue to treat patients in the way they always had been.
Oasis Dental Care Ltd owns more than 170 dental practices in the UK, employs almost 700 dentists and serves more than 1.5million patients.
Dr Sushil Jathanna, NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney’s chief exec, said that Oasis had been chosen because it is able to provide the best service for local people.

It was interesting to view the comments you attributed to Dr. Johnson. But, he is no longer at your practice! Misleading me thinks.
Anyway I will not be attending the Oasis Clinic. Why you may ask? Well for one , no-one has contacted me to say that Dr.Johnson has left the clinic and two it has taken many attempts to contact the clinic by phone. No answer from reception and the answerphone system does not seem to work.
Enough said.
Have just had appointment with a new dentist, who has told me I need periodontal treatment! I have attended Hight Stret Surgery for 4 years and have mentioned my gums and the only treatment I have had is descaling from hygenist!
I am not impressed that it is so much more serios than I was led to beleive and hope “Oasis” can sort it out!!!
Well I am attending the Oasis practice and being treated by a Dr Serban (I think it is ) and I think he is absolutely brilliant and the best dentist I have ever had he might not be from around here but I think his work is great. Thanks for sorting out my 3 years of painful teeth
