One of the UK’s largest pharmacy firms has announced it will open a second health village store in Essex.

The second Lloyds store will be opened following the success of the first health village, which opened in Brent Cross in London this summer. The new store will open in Lakeside shopping centre in Thurrock on December 3rd and will provide a host of health services, including a spa and a private dental clinic.

The new store will be considerably bigger than the Brent Cross outlet and will offer clients a larger range of services, including health and beauty services, a Vision Express outlet and specialist treatment from Shuropody and Connect Physical Health.

Tony Page, managing director of Lloydspharmacy, said that the health villages address the needs of the community and offer people a range of services under one roof, which makes it easier and quicker for members of the public to get the treatment or service they require.

The opening of a private dental clinic within the store will enable people to combine a check-up with shopping.
