Lisburn orthodontic clinic has new owner

An established orthodontic clinic in Lisburn has a new owner.

Emma McCrory has successfully acquired Lisburn Orthodontics with the help of a funding package from Ulster Bank. The practice has been running for thirty years and offers a diverse range of orthodontic treatments, including clear braces, removable orthodontics and the latest cosmetic innovations.

Emma said that she was delighted to secure the practice and is excited to be taking over the reins at a time when the demand for orthodontic treatment is rising steeply. New treatments, which offer cosmetic benefits and reduced treatment times, have driven a surge in the demand for teeth straightening and the popularity of Zoom and social media have prompted many people to undergo treatment.

Speaking about the increase in enquiries linked to orthodontics, Emma said that people have been motivated by using video call software while working from home. Employees have spent a lot more time looking at their smiles and some have also managed to save money during the pandemic, which will allow them to pay for braces.

Lisburn Orthodontics specialises in treatment for teenagers and young adults, and in line with the demand for treatment among older adults, the practice will be opening the books for self-referrals. This means that patients can arrange a consultation and undergo treatment without a referral from a dentist.

In addition to making treatment more accessible to a wider range of clients, Emma is also hoping to offer additional treatments and services in the months to come.
