Lincolnshire Dental Practice Helps Children Banish Fears Of The Dentist

Sample News Big

A Lincolnshire dental practice recently had an ‘Open Wide’ day in order to promote oral hygiene for children of all ages. Oasis Dental Care had the open day in order for children to overcome any negative thoughts about attending dental appointments.

There were a number of demonstrations for the children who were also able to try a tablet which shows up places in the mouth where there is plaque. This shows them where they are not brushing in a fun and informative way as their mouths turn blue.

The practice manager, Stacey Prince, felt that the day had gone very well and often she had seen children come to her practice who were scared. This often came from their parents fears and so this event was to make going to the dentist fun and exciting.

There was also face painting for children and a raffle was held which raised one hundred pounds towards the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre. There is also a brand new children’s area in the dental practice and they will carry on handing out goodie bags and balloons over the next few weeks.
