The dental team at a practice in Leighton Buzzard is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the surgery.

Dentist Vimal Patel opened the Whole Tooth five years ago and to begin with the surgery operated via two mobile phones and a small diary. Five years on, the owners are celebrating the anniversary with the purchase of state of the art equipment and dental instruments.

When Patel and his practice manager, Glynis Soper, started working at the practice the building was just a shell and they have worked tirelessly to convert it into a modern, stylish surgery. The pair managed to start running a temporary surgery within a week and five years later the practice employs 18 members of staff and offers a host of treatments, including those designed for patients with dental anxiety and dental phobia.

Vimal said that the surgery has really taken shape but it is still not finished and there are plans to create a viewing platform for patients to see dental instruments being sterilised.

Vimal thanked patients for their support and praised the dental team, which now boasts six dentists, two hygienists and ten members of support staff. He added that he is looking forward to the future.
