Thermadent, which is known for producing orthodontic products, has already invested in a brand new 3D scanner and printer and is planning to expand its product range to include clear aligners and custom-fit retainers.

Since is was founded by dental technician Matthew Garnett, Thermadent has expanded significantly. It supplies a number of dental clinics in the North West region and is hoping to extend its network further in the coming months.

Mr Garnett said it was an exciting time for the firm, especially as the team is now able to offer clear aligners, which are becoming incredibly popular as more and more people look for discreet ways to straighten their teeth. Existing clients have already expressed and interest in the new range of products and Mr Garnett is also eager to get new clients on board.

Paul Humphray, investment director at the Merseyside Special Investment Fund, commented that the cash injection will enable Thermadent to offer a “lucrative” and “in-demand” product, which should contribute to significant growth of the business in the future.
