Kirriemuir Dentist All Smiles After Landing Prestigious Title
A dentist from Kirriemuir is all smiles after being crowned ‘Cosmetic dentist of the Year’ at the Scottish Medical Cosmetic Awards.
Aisling Hanly beat off tough competition for the title, which recognises clinical excellence as well as dedication to the dental profession. Aisling, from Kirriemuir Dental Practice, said that she is “so chuffed” to win the award and couldn’t believe it when her name was read out at a glamorous ceremony at Glasgow’s Hilton hotel.
Aisling graduated with a degree in Dentistry in 1997 and later developed a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. In 2010, she started training in facial aesthetic treatment and is now recognised as one of Scotland’s best practitioners. She was one of the first Scottish recipients of the quality assurance mark awarded by the Association of Independent Healthcare Organisations.
This was the first Scottish Medical Cosmetic Awards ceremony and doctors, nurses and aesthetic practitioners from all over the country were honoured for their hard work and expertise in cosmetic medicine and dentistry.
It was a memorable night for Aisling and an excellent way to round off a great year for the Kirriemuir Dental Practice team. Recently, the practice was named the winner of the Community Award and highly commended in the Best Dental Team category at the Dentistry Scotland Awards.
