Kids Flocking To Gillingham Dental Practice For Fun Day out
Children are flocking to a dental practice in Gillingham, Dorset to enjoy a fun day out.
Normally, people approach the dentist with a degree of trepidation, but the team at Winning Smiles Dental Care claims there has been a surge in popularity, with hoards of local children visiting the practice to take advantage of Children’s Check-up Days, which are running throughout half-term.
The team has made a real effort to make going to the dentist fun and exciting for kids, setting up play equipment, including tunnels and tents, in reception and showing films to keep kids entertained while they wait for their free check-up from the dentist.
Principal dentist, Murray Hawkins, came up with the idea to provide parents with a fun and innovative way of ensuring that their children enjoy their half-term holiday, as well as keeping fit and healthy. Now, parents can take their child for a routine check safe in the knowledge that they are going to have lots of fun at the surgery. Murray said that he understands that it can be difficult to keep kids entertained, especially when the weather is bad, and this is a great way to promote good oral health, as well as preventing children from complaining that they are bored.
