An American karaoke singer chipped a tooth when six women attacked her while she performed on stage.
The six young women, who took the karaoke a little too seriously, have been charged with attacking Leidy Alcantara at a Connecticut bar because they believed she didn’t possess the X Factor.
The incident began when the six thugs began shouting remarks and heckling Leidy, 25.
The Day reported that she had been singing a Spanish song ‘Wednesday’ at Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe when she was repeatedly interrupted by the girls, who are all said to be aged between 18 and 20.
The victim then shouted at the women to leave if they didn’t like what they were hearing. Police then say, that upon hearing the retort the women rushed at the Leidy. They knocked her to floor and began pulling her hair and punching her.
Patrons had to stop the crazed women by pulling them off the singer, who had sustained several bruises as well as the chipped tooth.
All six women are due in court on 5 October.
