Kanye West replaces bottom teeth with diamonds
US rapper Kanye West unveiled a set of diamond implants on a television appearance on Ellen De Generes’ chat show yesterday.
The new set of teeth is the latest accessory in West’s ultra glamorous lifestyle and matches perfectly with his expensive designer clothes, luxury yacht and bling jewellery.
When questioned about his new teeth, Kanye West told Ellen he thought the diamond implants were “cooler” than normal teeth. He told the chat show audience that he had visited the dentist and asked him to remove his bottom teeth and replace them with a set of diamond and gold implants. Ms De Generes quizzed West about the implants, asking whether they were real or merely part of a grill; West confirmed that the teeth were implants and had been fitted to replace his natural bottom teeth.
Unsurprisingly, Kanye West’s new look has caused a stir in the USA and news of his new ultra-glamorous look is now spreading across the globe. It remains to be seen whether the new look will turn into a fashion trend; grills and tooth jewellery are becoming increasingly popular, as people seek to jazz up their smiles but will members of the public be brave enough to replace their original teeth with such flamboyant alternatives?
The interview was Kanye West’s first television interview since he famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last year. Since the infamous incident, West claims he has taken time out to rest, take stock of his life and grieve properly following the death of his mother.
