Isle of Man dentist is the UK’s best dental care professional
A trainee dentist from the Isle of Man has been named as the best oral health professional of 2009.
Amanda Wood, who practices at Abbey Dental in Ballasalla, was recognised at the Private Dentistry Awards as the Outstanding Individual of the Year.
Boss Dr Mark Hepworth called Miss Wood the lynch-pin of Abbey’s team and added that her time management and dedication to charity were amazing.
Abbey Dental also featured in the shortlist for the UK’s Best New Dental Practice at the awards.
This year it has also received a nominations for the customer service category of the Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence and for the best practice design category at the British Dental Awards.
Dr Hepworth said Miss Wood’s award was the icing on the cake of what has been an excellent year.
