An investigation has been launched following a fire at a dental surgery in Doncaster.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning (10th April) and a spokesman for the mdentist surgery confirmed that the practice would be closed for the foreseeable future. Fire crews were called to the blaze at mydentist on Thorne Road at 4.35 am.

A spokesman said the surgery suffered significant damage as a result of the fire and therefore it is impossible to open at this time. While investigations are ongoing and repair work is taking place, other mydentist practices in the local area will be offering support services.

It is not yet known what caused the fire or how long the practice will be closed for.

The phone lines have been transferred to sister practices and the team is trying to get in touch with patients who have appointments booked. Staff members have thanked patients for their patience during this time and any updates will be provided as soon as possible.
