Integrated Dental Holdings Takes Over Brand New Premises in Torquay Town Centre

Europe’s largest dental chain, Integrated Dental Holdings, has confirmed the acquisition of a former shop in the centre of Torquay. The premises, which were formerly the Early Learning Store, will soon be converted into a brand new dental clinic.

The premises are one of the town centre’s largest units and the shop has been empty for a long period of time. The Early Learning Centre closed in the summer of 2012 and many people believe the new clinic will bring people into the centre of town again. The practice will be home to two surgeries, which will relocate from St Marychurch Road and Abbey Road.

Integrated Dental Holdings is one of Europe’s leading dental firms, with more than 600 practices located across the UK.

Estate agent Paul Bettesworth said that the move is an interesting one and it is likely to draw hundreds more people into Torquay town centre on a daily basis. The unit is one of the centre’s largest, at 5,000 square feet and it offers more diversity on the high street. People recognise that the high street cannot survive with retail units alone anymore and there has been a recent increase in the number of cafes and coffee chains. Now, the new dental clinic will offer local people a different service on their doorstep. Mr Bettesworth also added that there are several other propositions on the table for vacant units on the high street.
