India offers affordable orthodontic care
In the era of dental tourism, India has emerged as a popular destination for orthodontic treatment.
Orthodontic treatment is primarily concerned with improving the positioning and alignment of the teeth and jaw joint and can make a huge difference to the appearance of an individual. For many people, the idea of combining an exotic holiday with a trip for dental treatment seems very appealing; however, experts have warned that there are risks associated with having treatment abroad. In some cases, standards of hygiene and sterilisation are not as high in the UK and the risk of infection may subsequently be higher. Experts have urged patients to research their trip carefully before they decide to go abroad; it is important to choose a dentist that has been approved and has the necessary qualifications and experience to carry out the treatment safely and effectively. Nowadays, patients can choose to use agencies who will arrange to whole trip for them; generally, this is much safer as it ensures patients are linked with approved dentists and clinics and all costs are covered.
