Help On Its Way For Bodmin Dental Patients After Surgery Closure

Sample News Big

Help is on its way for the thousands of patients who were left without access to dental care after the sudden closure of George House Practice in Bodmin.

NHS England has confirmed that 2,500 patients previously registered with the practice will now be able to undergo treatment at Bodmin Dental.

George House closed without prior warning in December as a result of financial difficulties, leaving both patients and staff wondering what the future holds.

Bodmin Dental will now be contacting patients to inform them that they are able to seek treatment at the practice until the rescue package comes to an end in March. Beyond this point, the NHS will continue to provide care for those affected by the closure of George House.

General manager of Peninsular Community Health Dental Ltd, Paul Critchley, has also confirmed that help will be available for as long as required.

The rescue package will enable those who were in the middle of a course of treatment, those who had paid for treatment in advance and those who need urgent treatment to get the care they need. Mr Critchley also confirmed that the nursing staff had transferred to Bodmin Dental.

Patients who were on the list at George House are advised to contact Peninsular Community Health Dental on 01872 354375 for more information about the package and to find out how they can access dental care.
