Health minister postpones dental recruitment

Sample News Big

Isle of Man Health Minister David Anderson has announced that no salaried dentists will be recruited on the island until a review of current dental services has been completed.

Mr Anderson was taking questions at the House of Keys yesterday; when questioned about filling current vacancies, he said that recruitment would be delayed until a review had been completed. The review will assess current dental services and identify areas of concern; ministers will then be able to see how many dentists are required and which areas of the island need additional services.

Vacancies have been advertised online and in jobcentres; however, applicants will not be contacted until the review has been completed and analysed.
