A dental practice in Haverfordwest will stop providing NHS care in November.

In a statement, Hywel Dda University Health Board confirmed that NHS care will not be available at Rhos College Dental Practice from November 22nd. The board indicated that it is working with the provider, Eskimo Healthcare Group, to help patients affected by the changes to access information about finding dental services while it conducts the search for a new NHS provider.

The practice will continue to treat patients who are undergoing courses of treatment until the 22nd of November and the team is contacting individuals to arrange appointments to ensure that they receive the care they need before the switch to private provision.

Director of primary care at the board, Jill Paterson, thanked patients at the practice for their support over the years and confirmed that the board is now looking for a new NHS dental provider. Details of services will be released when there is a new contract in place. Patients who have appointments in the next six weeks are advised to continue as normal and anyone who needs to see a dentist in the meantime should contact reception. NHS 111 is available for patients who need urgent assistance outside of practice opening hours.
