Harrow Borough Council has revealed plans for a series of events to celebrate National Smile Month.

A host of activities and events will be taking place in and around Harrow to mark the annual event and the council is encouraging as many local people as possible to get involved.

Parents and children are invited to attend Smile Sessions, which will educate families about teeth cleaning, healthy eating and the importance of visiting a dentist on a regular basis. The sessions will run between the 19th May and the 19th June and the first event will take place at the Hillview Centre on the 19th May from 9.30 until 11am. Subsequent events will take place at the Cedars Centre on the 20th May and Kenmore Park Centre on May 24th.

The sessions will be very informal and they are designed to be fun and enjoyable with an educational message. Children will be encouraged to get involved in interactive games, quizzes and activities to learn the benefits of looking after their teeth and gums and oral health teams will be on hand to answer questions and speak to parents about dental services in the local area.
