Halstead Dentist Accused Of Poor Practice Standards

Sample News Big

A dentist practicing in Halstead has been recently accused of bullying his colleagues and failing to uphold appropriate dental care standards.

Raghuvir Patel of R Patel and Associates has been charged with a number of discrepancies, including tossing x-ray fluid down the sink, which is supposed to be disposed of with care. Furthermore, Mr Patel has been alleged to have been keeping chemical waste under the stairs of his practice and forcing his colleagues to bring their used sanitary towels home with them.

A hearing, held by the General Dental Council (CDG) has also heard that the accused didn’t wear gloves when treating patients and failed to correctly sterilise the dental equipment, after use.

The case is still ongoing and formally began last Monday. The current charges go back to the year of 2011 and so a lot more investigations are scheduled to go ahead.

His practice in Halstead was previously situated at 74 High Street but now resides within a unit, found at Weavers Court.
