Halifax Dental Practice Sponsors Charity Water Slide Event
A dental practice in Halifax is sponsoring a charity event that enables people to enjoy a ride on a giant water slide in the town centre.
The slide will be set up at Woolshops Shopping Centre on Saturday 13th August and all proceeds from the event will be donated to Overgate Hospice in Elland. The event will be sponsored by Town Hall Dental.
You can book online to enjoy a ride on the giant slide, which will be positioned in the middle of the shopping centre. Sessions run for half an hour, but there’s no limit to the number of tickets you can by.
The slide is 70ft long and the Slip and Slide event will be the first of its kind in the country. The event is part of a special series of fundraisers hosted by the hospice in commemoration of its 35th anniversary.
Laura Witham, fundraising manager at the hospice, said that everyone is really excited to be involved in such a fun and unique event.

The hospice, which is funded by donations, provides end of life care for patients and support for individuals affected by terminal illnesses and their relatives. The money raised by the Slip and Slide event will make a huge difference to a number of local families.
