Glastonbury Dental Practice Celebrates British Dental Association Gold Award

A dental team from Glastonbury has plenty to smile about after receiving a Gold Award from the British Dental Association.

The James Main practice was presented with the gold standard in the Good Practice Scheme, which is designed to recognise consistently high standards of patient care. The Gold Award is given to practices, which meet the standards of the scheme for ten years in a row.

Becoming a member of the BDA’s Good Practice scheme is tricky enough, but to demonstrate excellence over ten consecutive years is a real achievement. The scheme is the UK’s leading measure of performance among dental practices and the team is hugely proud to have achieved the mantle. There are not many practices in the UK, which have been awarded the gold standard, so this is a great honour.

Dr James Main, principal dentist, said that the award demonstrates the team’s commitment to providing first class standards of care and a positive, safe experience for all clients.

The team was presented with the award by local MP for Wells, Tessa Munt, who praised the work of the team and thanked them for all their hard work in caring for the residents of the town.
