Genix Healthcare Reveals Plans to Convert Former Torrisholme Supermarket Into New Dental Clinic

Genix Healthcare, a dental chain based in Leeds, has revealed plans to convert a former supermarket in Torrisholme into a new dental clinic.

The company has submitted plans to turn the premises formerly occupied by Booths on Lancaster Road into a new practice. Planning officers at Lancaster City Council. If the plans are approved, the new surgery would provide a combination of NHS and private dental services. The opening of a new surgery would create five new full-time jobs and nine part-time roles.

Genix Healthcare is keen to expand and prides itself on offering patients affordable, high-quality dental treatment. The firm has set up a scheme known as Gencare, which enables patients to pay for dental treatment as they go.

Booths shut in March after posting significant losses, despite protests from local residents. Most of the employees have been offered alternative roles in nearby stores.
