Members of the local community in Ealing are organising a fundraising dinner in memory of Dr Sombhat Carapeti-Assatorian, who died in June.

The 83 year old dentist, who had lived in Ealing for more than 40 years, passed away on June 5th and a memorial dinner has been planned for August 1st. The event will take place at the Methodist Church located on Pitshanger Lane from 6pm.

As well as celebrating the life of the popular dentist, organisers will also be collecting donations, which will be given to the people of Abadan, Iran, Dr Carapeti-Assatorian’s home town.

Dr Carapeti-Assatorian came to the UK from Iran in 1952 to study and later returned on a permanent basis with his family. In 1980, he settled in North Ealing and became a popular and well-respected member of the community.

Dr Carapeti-Assatorian opened West Ealing Dental Practice and built up the business over the years, providing high standards of dental care to local people and often treating several members of the same family.

The dinner is a chance to remember him, swap stories and tales and raise money in his memory.
