Funding for New Dental Clinic gets the Green Light

Sample News Big

Members of the Narooma Health Group are celebrating after receiving the news that the state will fund a $200,000 public dental centre.

Federal member Dr Mike Kelly met with the group last week and told them the good news that the new dental clinic will open in Dalmeny and funding was also approved for a new hospital in Bega, with 20 transitional care beds at Moruya District Hospital.

Dr Kelly also announced that dental checks will be provided free of charge for children, which will ease pressure on family budgets.

The new clinic will help to reduce waiting lists in the area and improve access to dental care.

The Narooma Health Group have been hoping for investment in dental and health services for a long time now and Dr Kelly’s announcements have come as welcome news. The area has been given a significant amount of money and a range of services in the area will benefit from additional funding.
