Free clinic set to benefit South Carolina residents

Sample News Big

A free dental clinic will be held in the town of Greenville this weekend.

The Dental Access Days clinic is specifically for adult patients and is open to all residents in Upstate South Carolina. The clinics are run every year and this year’s event will take place on Friday the 6th and Saturday 7th August at the Carolina First Center. Last year the event was held in Charleston and more than 1,500 patients were treated; over 500,000 dollars worth of treatment was provided free of charge to patients.

All local residents are invited to attend the clinic, although staff are hoping to attract those most in need of help; currently, thousands of people across America are struggling to pay for the dental treatment they need and are consequently avoiding going to see the dentist.

The appointments will be given on a first come, first served basis and volunteers are expecting to repeat last year’s success in Charleston. The event is being sponsored by the South Carolina Dental Association. The clinic will run until early evening on Friday and until mid-afternoon on Saturday. For more information, patients can contact the Carolina First Center.
