A former patient who chose to pursue a career in dentistry has taken the reins at a Cheadle dental practice. Dr Emma Noble, 33, has recently taken over the clinic she attended as a child.

Having worked in both private and NHS practices before joining the team at The Avenue Dentistry a few years ago, Emma was delighted when the chance to take over the practice came about. She agreed to take over ownership from Jerry Scannell and is now looking forward to modernising and expanding the surgery.

Emma has a clear vision of where she wants to take the Cheadle practice, and she has already added two dentists and a new manager to the team. The practice has already been rebranded, and it will also be renovated to provide patients with treatment in a modern, stylish setting.

The Avenue Dentistry provides both NHS and private dental services, and Emma is hoping to expand the current treatment list to include facial aesthetics. The practice now has a team of eight and Emma is excited to be able to offer patients a vast range of treatments, from general dentistry and restorative treatment to the latest cosmetic and orthodontic innovations and implant dentistry.

Emma qualified seven years ago and said that it was a “dream come true” to own a practice in her home town.

Previous owner, Jerry Scannell, described Emma, who has worked at the clinic for a long period of time, as a “fantastic dentist” and said that there is nobody he would rather hand over to. She is a very popular member of the team, she gets on well with patients and she has the vision and ambition to drive the practice forward.
