Former ADA trustee Glover dies aged 66

A former Association Dental Association trustee from Reno, Nevada, has died.

Dr Joel F Glover, 66, who was known for his tireless work in dental education, died at home from small cell cancer on 17 December 2009.

Ron Tankersley, president of the association (ADA), said that Dr Glovers vast experience made him a vital member of the ADA board and that he had always empowered and encouraged others.

Graduating Northwestern University in 1968, Dr Glover served the ADA as a 14th District trustee for four years from 2003 to 07.

A former Naval lieutenant, Dr Glover practiced dentistry in Reno for 40 years and retired in 2007.

He was a former president of the American Association of Dental Examiners and the Nevada Dental Association.

Following in his father’s footsteps, dentist Dr Joel T Glover called his dad an “amazing human being” inside and outside dentistry.

Donations can given to Dr Glover’s Memorial Scholarship Fund to help aspiring dentists that have graduated from Sparks High School via, 525 Hammill Lane, Reno, Nevada 89511.
