Fire crews were called to a dental studio in Ripon on Thursday 4th December, it has been confirmed.

Two crews arrived at the dental practice, which is located in High Skellgate, after smoke was seen on the upper floor of the building.

On closer inspection, crews discover that a steam cleaning machine had caught fire, releasing smoke and acid fumes out into the upper floor area. Fire fighters wore breathing apparatus when entering the building and removed the machine. Once the fire was under control and the machine had been successfully removed from the premises, fire officers ventilated the property.

Fire crews confirmed that nobody was inside the building when they arrived at the scene and therefore nobody was injured or harmed.
