Felpham dental practice set to expand

Sample News Big

A dental practice in Felpham is set to expand after planning officers approved an application to add a single storey extension.

Newholme Dental Surgery currently has three treatment rooms, including two located in the loft space. The proposals outline plans to add a single storey extension to create a new surgery room, a staff room and extra office space. The development will also improve access to the building for patients with restricted mobility.

According to the plans, the extension will not be visible from afar and building work will be integrated within the existing site.

The parish council made no objections to the plans and local residents were in favour. The extension will enable the practice to provide more space for patients and improve access to dental services within the area.

Many patients in England are currently experiencing difficulties getting a dental appointment. Developments like those at Newholme Dental Surgery could help to ease pressure on services and enable more patients to see a dentist without joining lengthy waiting lists.

The application for the extension on the surgery was approved by Arun District Council. Work on the plot is set to begin soon.
