Exploding cigarette costs man six teeth

A man needed stitches after the cigarette he was smoking exploded and removed six of his teeth.

Andi Susanto, from Bekasi in Indonesia, was riding his motorbike when the cigarette he was smoking exploded.

Doctors used 51 stitches to close all the wounds in Susanto’s mouth.

The 31-year-old said that the incident had left him traumatized and added that he was trying to quit smoking.

His family is now demanding compensation from Nojorono Tobacco Indonesia, the cigarette’s producers.

Nojorono has claimed that its products contain no explosive materials.

Local police are working to try and establish what caused the explosion.
