Elegant Smiles is looking to expand after revealing plans to open a new dental clinic in Stamford.

The business already runs practices in Grantham, Spalding, Lincoln and Heckington. Dr Israr Azraq has submitted a change of use planning application to the council with a view to converting a residential property into a new dental surgery.

The four-bedroom detached house, which is known as Warrenne House and is located in Castle Dyke, would provide sufficient space for a new dental clinic with capacity to provide a full treatment list and training opportunities for apprentices.

Dr Azraq said that he hoped to build on the success of the other practices in the region to open a new, modern dental surgery and centre of excellence. The goal would be to provide apprenticeships for trainee dental nurses, as well as a host of new jobs for local people.

Elegant Smiles is a private dental provider. NHS services will not be available at the new practice in Stamford if the plans get the green light.

Dr Azraq knows Stamford very well, as he lived in Baston previously and he is keen to bring a new clinic to the area. The Spalding practice has won awards and the business is growing steadily and has an excellent reputation across the region.

Council planners have objected to the addition of a new gateway, which would have been built at the side of the property due to the history and heritage of the property. Dr Azraq is now awaiting a decision on the project as a whole.
