Elderly woman drives car into dental surgery
An elderly woman has driven her car into a dental surgery in San Diego.
The woman, who was pulling up to attend a dental appointment at the Midway-area dental office, accidently hit the accelerator and careered through the front of the surgery. Dental hygienist, Crystal, was treating a patient at the time but nobody was hurt in the incident.
The woman has been a patient for 29 years and her dentist, Dr Larry Woznuk, said it was a freak accident. The woman was shaken by the incident and extremely apologetic, but Dr Woznuk managed to calm her down.
The fire service removed two large panels of broken glass from the front of the building and the woman’s car was taken away to be repaired. Local police said that incidents like this were surprisingly common.
