Edinburgh dental spa submits plans to relocate to former restaurant

The owners of a dental spa based in Edinburgh have submitted plans to relocate to premises formerly occupied by a vegetarian eatery.

Cherrybank Dental Spa is currently located in Dundas Street, but the owners are keen to move to Thistle Street. They are looking to change the use of the site that housed Henderson’s, a basement restaurant, which blazed a trail for vegetarian cuisine in the city. The restaurant has relocated to new premises in Bruntsfield and the unit has been vacant since it closed during the early stages of the Covid pandemic.

The proposed site would enable the practice owners to move closer to the heart of New Town. The application is a change of use, which would see the unit transformed into a brand new, state of the art dental spa.

If the plans get the green light, the new practice will boast modern treatment suites in addition to communal relaxation areas where patients can unwind before they see their dentist. The owners plan to create nine treatment rooms, two consultation suites, a spacious new waiting room and facilities for the dental team.

If the practice moves, the team is looking to welcome new patients and introduce residents to cutting-edge treatments while providing superior facilities for existing patients.
Cherrybank Dental Spa offers a wide range of services, including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, general dentistry, dental hygiene, facial aesthetics, services for nervous patients and restorative treatments.
